Table of Contents Of Part 1 (With A Brief Description)
Claims and Disclaimers: Moving On represents a compendium of my experiences and the assessments that I made about them.
Coping: From Scarcity To Abundance: Our basic instinct for self preservation drives us to be naturally defensive, non- trusting, and selfish. This is the reason man develops a "scarcity" mentality that limits his options..
The Natural “Life-Cycle": In his natural "life-cycle", man is subject to growth, maturity, aging, and death. We all have to face this "life-cycle" and the concerns that they bring to our lives.
Man As An Observer: Man is basically an observer of his world. Although he records what he observes, his observations are subject to his humanity and biology. This means, that as an observer of his universe, man "sees what only he can see". In other chapters in this e-book we will also discover that he hears only what addresses his concerns and not what others are saying.
Biological And Cultural Man: Man is a biological system and he is perishable. His survival is his key human concern. Coping is about how effectively we manage our private concerns.
Conversations – An Exchange Of Viewpoints: Our differences move us to try to validate the possible existence of one worldview. We validate our perceptions when others share with us similar perceptions.
There Is Dark Side To Our Personality: Our natural instinct is self-preservation whic impacts our personality and our attitudes. Distrust and isolation follow when we fear that others are taking advantage of us.
Changing The Type Of Observers That We Have Become: A new "self" design is needed that will carry us successfully through the entire "life cycle". This new self is to be based on the principles of interdependence.
